ABC News anchor Peter Jennings thanked well-wishers Friday in a moving letter that opened a window into his battle with lung cancer. In an e-mail posted on ABCnews.com, Jennings, who's undergoing chemotherapy treatment, said he attempted to go to his ABC office yesterday.
"Yesterday I decided to go to the office. I got as far as the bedroom door. Chemo strikes."
He mentioned that Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, "wrote me a note to say that the only way to get through chemo is to `work your way through it.'"

41. Doesn't anybody out there know how Peter Jennings is doing? We miss you Peter. We have listened to you for years and it just isn't the same without you. We hope you are better and will eventually return to the news desk.
