When Aerosmith announced it was cancelling the remaining Rockin' The Joint show dates for the month, the rapid chatter of online rumor heard loudest was that the Bad Boy of Boston Steven Tyler had throat cancer - or bird flu - or both - depending on who was doing the talking. A spokesperson for Tyler insists the cancer rumors are absolutely not true. Tyler's voice may be gone for now, but according to more informed sources, it is the result of strained vocal chords.
"You know Steven," bassist Tom Hamilton said. "Anything worth doing, to him, is worth overdoing." Hamilton also mentioned that the band is touring more now than it did 10 years ago.
