Jimmy Teens TV is a cool project for
teens living with cancer! The project is ongoing, as they produce a DVD, "The Teenagers Survival Guide to Cancer
Treatment." The DVD, featuring personal stories of teens with cancer, told in their own words, will be given to teens who have been newly-diagnosed with cancer.
According to Jimmy Teens TV, "The DVD can include video diaries, animations, and about what you wish you had been told before your treatment began."
The coolest part of the project are the videos featured on the Jimmy Teens TV website now. Eventually, the plan is to feature all the videos from the DVD on the website. In addition, it is a central web location building a community for teens with cancer to share experiences. While based in Leeds, it may grow to include teens throughout the the UK. However, the website is global, and will be of value to teens everywhere who deal with the issues of cancer.
