Despite a threatened lawsuit, The National Enquirer is refusing to back down from its exclusive cover story that Whitney Houston has a brain tumor and states they are standing by the story 100 percent. Meanwhile, multiple-Grammy winning singer Whitney Houston, and her representatives, are denying there is any truth to the rumor and are threatening the tabloid with legal action. Houston has suffered turbulent challenges both professionally and personally over the years, and has been the focus of more than one tabloid story concerning her alleged drug use, career and marriage. It would be sad if she indeed has a brain tumor, but considering the source of the news announcing such a diagnosis, it is difficult to know at this time how much truth there is to the story. Hopefully -- none.Note: The contents of this blog are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as medical advice or substitute for professional care. (Page 1)2. I feel that many times,we as being Human, jump to conclusions, before actually knowing the facts,I'm not disputeing the National Enquirer, but if you have Scientific Facts, then why was that not clearly presented? unless Whitney claimed her privacy rights.I also feel that if this is true than I feel that Whitney would disclose this herself along with seeking the support, and Prayers of spiritual Leader's that she place her trust in.

3. We should not come to a conclusion at any news, more so tabloids. The truth will be heard and the truth will set her free. All she needs is prayers and support. That would be the nicest thing that we all can participate in.
How much opportunities and blessings were given to the one who would make the most out of life. More so with the gift of soul and voice like Whitney's. It is unfortunate that one would dismiss the grace of God entirely to gain personal stisfaction. At the end it is a sad picture of denial and dissappointment. Nevetheless God is a God of second chance. But its has to begin with looking into the mirror and changing what you see. With all my respect to my Idol I pray that she will be healed from all her past and come to be a God fearing
women. And rise up again from the pit of the evil.
Whitney! you are not dead yet! so get up and fight the good fight! and finish the race.

4. Well I am a nurse and I can certainly say with empathy, that I hope this is not true. Whitney has been a long time idol of mine---addiction or no addiction. You can't always believe what you read in tabloids--even with the addiction stories. Whitney is a wonderful person who has had alot of bad things happen to her in her life. Much like most of us lay people. She is very very beautiful and extremely talented and for her sake and her family's sake, I do hope this is not true. However, whether its an addiction problem, a brain tumor, an aneurysym, a broken toe--- no matter what it is, one has to have faith in God and faith in themselves and I strongly believe that Whitney does. So, From Lexington, Kentucky---we love you Whitney!

5. I don't give a hoot about Whitney Houston one way or the other and I did not read the Inquirer article, but what makes you assume that if in fact a tumor exists, that it's cancer? Does this article specifically mention cancer?

6. I am not amused so much at the Enquirer's story but rather the asinine, glaringly misinformed comment by Paul Thomas. He obviously has no affiliation with the health care world, or medical/biological science in general. If a "tumor" is not cancer, Mr. Thomas, pray tell what is it then? A lump, a mole? Maybe you meant to say if in fact a tumor exists, what makes us think it is deadly? Whatever the case, I and my fellow surgical residents got a good chuckle at your comment.

7. I pray this story concerning Whitney is not true. i use to read the Enquirer and some of the stories are wild and leave you wondering, sometimes.I did see this story on the front page of the tabloid and was, quite frankly, somewhat shocked!
A message to Whitney.....if this story is not true, please give up the drugs and unwholesome living you are involved in. Give your life to Jesus, before it is too late.
You came from the church and you should be serving God with you talent and not some ugly demon that has railroaded your life. You are talented and beautiful. What a combination but you are not using what you have to help yourself and/or others.
I have always admired you and still do but please get help before it is too late.
I love you always

8. Can you all please just leave her alone. This matter is for Whitney and her family to deal with. Can you imagine if this was your mother, would you really want everyone discussing her illness. Whitney is a mother!

9. Nate, even those of us not affliated with health care or the medical/biological sciences understand that not all tumors are malignant. We also understand that benign tumors can be deadly,as well. In any event, continued good chuckles to you and your "fellow surgical residents" at whatever offshore med school you attend. Let us know when you when you begin practicing; we'll appreciate the warning.

10. Does this really surprises anyone? Does anyone really care if she has a brain tumor? I know I do not. God gave her the most beautiful gift one can aspire to, yet she threw it all down the toilet, along with her persona! In fact, she is a toilet!

11. I know I shouldn't engage in this conflict of interer,
but,I feel need to give support where support needed.
As a recovering brain tumor patient, you can't escape
taxes, death is inevitable, you will always be the color
you are now, and brain tumor's ain't nothing to spread
rumors about. Some may think I'm a bit humorous about
this coversation. Put yourself in my shoes for a minute
and imagine your brain as a toy you can't operate or
figure out its purpose. That's how I still feel after
countless MRI's, rehab. sessions, and surgury
complications. However, God has a reason for the music
that we hear through out the season. Its up to us to
listen to the song he plays. "Whitney...be strong"

12. Whitney Houston's Tumor... even if the story IS true (which I hope is not)... I would not even know what type of tumor it is. If it's Malignant, then I'll be concerned. If it's benign, then the best solution would just be for it to be removed and that's that. But the Lord's touch truly in my opinion IS the answer.
13. Scott-
I think that is the meanest comment ever. I am so sorry you are that bitter.

14. BTW name one singer out there who can hold a candle to that voice. We all make mistake...the only difference is they don't talk about you and I in the media.

15. Whitney Houston needs to clean up her act.She comes from a good family and I'm sure that her mom, especially, does not have the pride in her daughter as she once did. Both Whitney and Bobby have made asses of themselves over the last several years and it's a wonder that they are both still alive, considering all the "alleged" drug use going on.I hope for Whitney's sake that she does not have a brain tumor.I don't think that she deserves to suffer like that.It may be ,however,a wake up call for both herself and Bobby.Hopefully, all the negative publicity will hit home and Whitney will take stock of herself before it is too late.
16. Ninety nine percent of Whitneys problem is spiritual. The tumor is minor compared to the lost condition of her soul. She was blessed with a nice voice. She had nothing to do with her beautiful gift.Pray for her.Her sadness is manifesting in her destructive behaviour.Money can pay for a tumor operation.Money cant pay for peace of the human soul!
17. According to current medical definitions Paul Thomas
is correct that all Tumours are not all cancerous.
Cancer refers to those Tumours that still grow "abnormally" or effect other surrounding
cells "abnormally" without control.
However this definition may change. Maybe Nate Stamopoulos knows something about "Benign Tumours". Some news reports question the safety of these supposed “Benign” tumours.
The one thing I do disagree with Paul Thomas is that he should have some care for the living.
One should always esteem the living but not always by much. Some living people don't deserve much esteem. Some living people are true hero’s and should receive double the esteem.
I have no current opinion of Whitney Houston. The news does sadden me though.
One thing to keep in mind though. Magazines may tell lies but since the mid-80's they are not in a
habit of lying about celebrities. It's financially too costly in court. I suppose even the truth about celebrities can cost them in court too.
So the odds are the National Enquirer could be correct to some degree.
Sincerely Triopstor.
18. I think Whitney Houston is great and i was really upset when i heard that whitney mite have a brain tumoure! has anyone got any information on Whitney or any pictures of her that you could send me please at trevorchambers@hotmail.co.uk i will be very greatfu if you could send them to me at that adress thank you xx
19. I read that the intake of radiation one receives from using a cell phone has been the reason a growing number of people have been diagnosed with brain tumors. I hope this isn't true for Ms. Houston. Cell phone usage may have played a role in the death of Attorney Johnnie Cochran who died of a brain tumor. Read it for yourself. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0510/16/hcsg.01.html
20. My prayers are with you,Mrs.Whitney Houston &
Family.
Keep praying and JESUS will be with you always.
Sing this sung "Though It All I Learn To Depend
On JESUS,I Learn To Depend On GOD".He will bring
you though all your turbulent.

1. I can't tell you how many times stories printed in the National Enquirer have been denied, denied, denied - yet, when push comes to shove, story turns out to be true. As for me, I believe it. Whitney has been a drug addict for MANY years. Drug use has to take it's toll on the body somehow.
