Breast cancer survivor and rocker Sheryl Crow says she conquered cancer in part due to the type of research funded by "FFANY Shoes on Sale." This Fashion Footwear Association of New York shoe sale features thousands of beautiful shoes sold at half the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Over the past 10 years, "FFANY Shoes On Sale" has raised more than $16 million and sold over 950,000 pairs of shoes to benefit breast cancer research and education programs. Here's to another great year.
1. FFNY is obviously very dedicated to the breast cancer cause, evidenced by their 10 year committment and $16 million in donations. There's another great BC cause that's easy to get involved with - Lee National Denim Day. Denim Day is great because all you have to do is wear jeans on Denim Day (October 5th) and contribute $5. I just registered at www.denimday.com and am starting my own "team" consisting of my mom (who is a BC survivor!), my sister and a few friends. I'd encourage everyone to check it out!
