Cock Blocker celebrity auction for breast cancer

With over 30 celebrities including actor Cheech Marin, NFL MVP John Elway, World Series of Poker Champion Mel Judah, Hall of Fame Philly Mike Schmidt, Cock Blocker Clothing creator Mark James is raising money for the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3Day Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser by holding an eBay auction of celebrity-autographed Cock Blocker Clothing items. The auction is live now and will run through October 1, 2006 8PM (PST).

Supporting breast cancer research is personal for James of Cock Blocker Clothing, whose mother survives her own diagnosis of breast cancer. He wants to help other women who are going through the same struggles as his mother in contributing to something that can make a positive difference.

In addition to the celebrity-autographed Cock Blocker Clothing online eBay auction, James will be participating in Philadelphia's Breast Cancer 3Day fundraiser, where participants will walk 60 miles in three days, with each participant raising at least $10,000 dollars for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

To help with the cause, you can bid on celebrity-autographed Cock Blocker Clothing during the eBay auction, or donate directly to the 3Day event. The Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3Day Walk will take place on October 4 through the 6th.

"Please remember, all of us have the power to change lives and contribute to society," states James. Visit to learn more about the Cock Blocker Clothing fight against breast cancer.

Cock Blocker Clothing benefits breast cancer with auction

Out of Las Vegas, urban fashion designer and Cock Blocker Clothing founder Mark James has started a company with major attitude. As the company states on its website, it offers an artistic sense of humor to an otherwise vicious and often times malicious environment of everyday life issues of politics, art, sex, relationships, love, race, religion, business, and war.

Cock Blocker Clothing is popular with celebrities, who have autographed many Cock Blocker Clothing apparel items for an auction to benefit the 3-Day walk for breast cancer charity.

Supporting breast cancer research is personal for James, whose mother is currently battling her own diagnosis of breast cancer. He wants to help other women who are going through the same struggles as his mother in contributing to something that can make a positive difference.

Cock Blocker Clothing might not be for everyone. If you enjoy a wicked sense of humor and off-the-grid attitude, then you might appreciate the business passion of a man who once worked -- or as he says slaved -- for seven years in the corporate world of entertainment in Los Angeles for Warner Bros. & Fox Studios and then escaped.

If you would like to be a sponsor, make donations or take part in auction bidding, check in at the Cock Blocker Clothing website where auction, fundraiser time, date, and venue information will be posted June 25. You can view photos of the autographed-by-celebrities Cock Blocker Clothing items at that time.

Coldwater Creek newest sponsor of Race for the Cure

There are many proud sponsors of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure -- American Airlines, Yoplait, Ford, Kelloggs, New Balance, Ultra Quilted Northern, Remax, Sun Chips, and Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. And new this year is Coldwater Creek -- a company that specializes in women's apparel, jewelry, accessories, and gifts. Tucked away in Sandpoint, Idaho, Coldwater Creek offers merchandise through a number of retail stores across the country, through direct-mail catalogs, and through their website too. And now they offer something more -- the IN PINK Collection. Ten percent of each purchase from this collection of clothing and accessories goes directly to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. And for each visor purchase, 100 percent of the profits are donated.

At Coldwater Creek, more and more women are being touched by breast cancer -- employees, co-workers, family members, friends, and customers. Breast cancer is a widespread disease that needs widespread support. So those at Coldwater Creek are reaching out and joining the ranks of supporters. And they are giving back to the many women who have supported them over the years. One small step by one company can make a world of difference.

Lavender Trust: another color of cancer charity

When it comes to cancer organizations and cancer charity, if I say pink, you think ribbon and breast cancer. If I say yellow, you think wristband and Lance Armstrong. I say that is what you will think because the pink breast cancer campaign and the yellow cancer survivor wristband have become phenomenally successful at marketing brand identity. Which is a good thing for cancer charity. Many companies and products are going pink as a way to donate money for cancer research. By offering pink products, and allotting a certain portion of the profits to cancer charity, the purchase of the product serves two purposes. But what if you do not normally wear pink, or decorate your home in pink?

Okay, what about purple? The Lavender Trust, a foundation that serves young women living with breast cancer, offers a line of fundraising products in a soft lavender color. The products range from apparel to candles to gardening seeds. All in shades of lavender. Go here to check out the Lavender Trust online shop.

Cure Cancer Now

cure cancer nowOne of the nice aspects of people who leave comments, is that sometimes they share the story of a life that has been touched by cancer and how they are responding to that experience. Over two years ago, Char lost her mother to ovarian cancer. Last month, her father was diagnosed with lung cancer. This has led Char to create Cure Cancer Now, a Cafepress shop featuring apparel, baby wear, pet wear, stickers, buttons, magnets, hats, bags, housewares, mugs, and more, all with the Cure Cancer Now logo, a black ribbon centered with a heart. Proceeds from the sale of the Cure Cancer Now merchandise will go to cancer charity.

After reading the post about the blogging community at RedToeNail and founder Dr. Berman, a lung cancer survivor, who plans to paint one of his toe nails red for every year of his lung cancer survival, with the goal of one day having a complete set of painted red toe nails, Char says, "I hope my father will be able to paint his toes red at some point." We will hope with you.

Choose Hope: hope humor inspiration for people with cancer

At about the same time, Linda and Chris were both diagnosed with breast cancer. Only at the time of diagnosis, they did not know each other. An online chat room changed all that, when one evening, while Chris was complaining about losing her hair to chemotherapy, Linda was asking if anyone thought duct tape would hold her wig down when she went to the water parks the family was planning on visiting the upcoming weekend. The two women instantly bonded in friendship, and the inspiration of humor and hope sustained them both through the challenges of cancer treatment and the joys of survivorship.

Choose Hope, a business that offers apparel, gifts, buttons and jewelry with messages of hope, humor and inspiration for patients and their families, was born out of their friendship. Choose Hope has an entire line of Cancer Sucks, and a new Danger Chemo Crankiness tee. Choose Hope donates a portion of the business profits to cancer charity. Sadly, Chris, after being in remission, has lost her life to breast cancer. Linda carries on, in honor and memory of her cherished friend Chris.

Linda shares, "Someone once asked me how I can stay so active in the cancer community. Wouldn't it be easier to just walk away from it all and get on with my life? This IS my life! As long as my health remains good, I will continue with this journey. I have met and made some wonderful friends along the way. While I have never cried so hard, by the same token, I have never laughed as hard either. I will remember all that laughter and think of Chris. And I will thank God daily that she came into my life at just the right time." Laugh. Love. Choose hope.
